This is a very rare, hand carved, hard to find kou (not koa) bowl. This artifact is in excellent condition for ist age. It ahs very thin walls and a nice patina. It also has a circle patch at the bottom (as seen in hte photo). This was purchased from a hawaiian family currently living on oahu. Measurement. 6-1/2 tall. 8-1/4 wdie across. 9 at its widest point.
