1920's original hawaiian kamaka pineapple koa ukulele / this is a great looking old ukulele from the kamaka family. It has an old case as you can see in the pictues it is a rear load style, and the leather handle and back strap or missing. The uke on the other hand really looks great with no cracks that i can find, some light scratches over the years, but, then you could oil them out.
It really has a very rich old looking feel to it. My pictures do not do justice to this piece of art that was hand made in hawaii. The labels are also in very nice shape for its age. I tihnk they made an old rayon hawaiian shirt that looks like this ukulele. Hope to ese you on our next surfari. On nov-27-08 at 162533 pst, seller added the following informationhi. I had an email for me to inspect carefully the whole uke for any flaws. I found one small crack in the finish on back, did not see it when looking straight at the wood, but if you hold it on an angle and in the right light there is a very tiny crakc to the finish, i say finish because when i press down on the wood by the split in the finish, it does not show a crack in the wood, the wood is solid. I also added a nice shot of the rear of the uke to show all that the spine is very tight and not splitting where they would join the two pieces of wood that would wrap around the sides.
